Duality of Value and Balance: My Approach

Accepting the Duality of Value

Every event or value possesses a duality, akin to the yin and yang. Behind success, there often lies the experience of failure, and within joy, past sorrows may lurk. Comfort in Discomfort: Accepting Without Controlling

During a period when I was deeply exploring the sensation of "safety" - a state liberated from imminent threats - I initially conflated the absence of safety with the presence of anxiety. However, it didn't take long for me to understand that simply "dispelling the feelings of unease" was not the answer. Recognizing and acknowledging the existence of anxiety became paramount. True strength, I realized, resides in embracing that anxiety, finding solace within its confines, and maintaining a genuine sense of security even when unease persists. This conflict manifests as a physical sensation, acting as a warning signal that our values are diverging to opposite poles. Recognizing this signal accurately aids us in mending the rift early on, helping us regain our balance.
